What We Hold
Your name, your email address, your suburb and your street. For a young person we also hold their birthday, their house number, and the adult who looks after them.
Why We Ask
Your name goes on your page. Your email is how a letter reaches you. Your suburb and street are how the work stays walking distance. We ask for each one at the moment we need it, and we say why while we are asking.
What Is Public
A first name, a suburb and a street. That is the whole of it. A full name, a house number, a birthday and a parent stay here.
What We Do With It
We introduce you to somebody nearby, and we write to you. It stays with us — never sold, never rented, never handed to anybody who wants to advertise at you.
Your Words Belong To You
Anything you write about yourself is yours. We show it exactly where you told us to show it, in the words you wrote, and we correct none of it.
How Long We Keep It
For as long as you want a place here. When you close it, your details go within thirty days.
Ask For It Back
Press the control on the page written for a parent and it reaches us marked as yours. A person reads it, a person writes back, and we write again the day it is done.
If Anything Slips
Where anything of yours is ever exposed, you hear it from us first, in plain words, on the day we know — along with what we have already done about it.
Your Young Person, And What We Hold
A fifteen-year-old opened a business here, and you are the reason they could.
- Their Full Name
- Held here, and only their first name is ever shown. A neighbour reads a first name and a street rather than a person to look up.
- Their Suburb And Street
- Both shown, so a neighbour a few doors away knows they are close. It is how the work stays walking distance.
- Their House Number
- Held here for our records and shown nowhere. We hold a full address for one reason: where anything ever happens to your young person, somebody needs to know exactly where to go.
- Their Birthday
- You give it rather than they do, and it is shown to nobody. It is how this stays a place for fifteen to eighteen.
- Their Own Words And Prices
- Shown, exactly as they wrote them. We correct no spelling and tidy no sentence.
- Their Pictures
- Shown on their page. They choose each one.
- Your Name And Your Address
- Shown to nobody. You are here so a young person has an adult standing beside them, named, from the first moment.
They are told the same at the moment they type each piece, in words written for them rather than for you.
